HaruChaeng Privacy Policy
Published August 26, 2026 · Effective September 2, 2026
TerryWi (the “Provider”) establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy as set out below, in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, in order to protect users' personal information and to handle related grievances promptly and smoothly.
Article 1 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)
The Provider processes the minimum personal information necessary for the following purposes. The personal information being processed is not used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, the Provider will take necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
- Providing core features: All logging features of HaruChaeng (the “Service”) — supplement check-off, mood (emotion) journaling, subscription billing D-day reminders, calendar, and retrospect analysis — are stored only on the user's device, and the Provider does not separately collect any personal information for this purpose.
- Member identification and backup/restore: Identifying the user via Google account sign-in, and providing backup and restore of records through the user's own Google Drive.
- Serving advertisements: Securing operating funds by serving banner ads through Google AdMob.
Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Collected and Method of Collection)
Items collected
- [On sign-in, optional] Google account information: Email address and Google account identifier. Collected via Google Sign-In (OAuth). Use of the Service itself does not require sign-in, and all features are available without limitation without signing in. Sign-in is required only when the user wishes to use the Google Drive backup/restore feature.
- [Created directly by the user while using the app, stored locally on the device] Service usage records: Registered supplement information and check-off records, mood (emotion) records and one-line notes, subscription billing date and amount information, nickname, and app settings such as theme and tone. This information is kept only in the device's local storage and is not transmitted to the Provider's servers (the Provider does not operate any separate server of its own).
- [When the backup feature is used] Google Drive backup data: The entirety of the above local records is stored in JSON form in the app-specific storage area (appDataFolder) within the user's own Google Drive. This area is a private space that not even the user can directly view from the Google Drive app screen, and no third party, including the Provider, can access this data.
- [Collected automatically via the advertising SDK] Advertising identifier and device information: The Service serves banner ads through Google AdMob, and in this process the advertising identifier (Ad ID), device information, and diagnostic data related to ad impressions and clicks may be collected by Google. This is not information that the Provider collects or stores directly, and it is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
Method of collection: Direct input by the user during use of the Service, Google account linking (OAuth), and automatic collection via the advertising SDK when using the mobile app.
Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)
- Google sign-in information: Destroyed immediately when the user performs “Delete account.”
- Records stored locally on the device: Destroyed immediately when the user performs the in-app “Reset records” function or deletes the app. Because it is not separately stored on the Provider's servers, the user can completely delete it on their own.
- Google Drive backup data: Deleted immediately when the user performs “Delete backup” or “Delete account.” Unless the user takes separate action, only the single most recent backup is retained in the user's own Drive.
- Advertising identifier and other diagnostic information: Follows Google's relevant policies and retention periods.
Article 4 (Procedure and Method of Destroying Personal Information)
- Destruction procedure: When the user performs the in-app “Reset records,” “Delete backup,” or “Delete account” functions, the action is processed immediately without any separate approval step.
- Destruction method: Local device data is deleted immediately from device storage, and Google Drive backup files are requested for deletion through the Google Drive API and destroyed so that they cannot be recovered.
Article 5 (Users' Rights and How to Exercise Them)
Users can exercise the following rights directly at any time from the in-app “Settings > My info” screen.
- Reset records: Deletes all local records such as supplement check-offs, activities, and mood entries (the registered supplement list, subscriptions, and settings are retained).
- Delete backup: Deletes the backup file stored in Google Drive.
- Delete account: Disconnects the Google sign-in link and deletes the Google Drive backup data (local records remaining on the device are retained, and “Reset records” must be performed separately to delete them).
Other inquiries may be submitted via the customer support email (wwwtaekyu@gmail.com), and the Provider will act without delay. The Service is not intended for children under the age of 14, and does not intentionally collect children's personal information.
Article 6 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information)
- Technical measures: Service usage records are stored only in the device's local storage (SQLite) and are not transmitted externally. Google account authentication uses Google's standard OAuth method, and communication with Google Drive is encrypted with TLS. Backup data is stored in an app-specific private area (appDataFolder), even within the user's own Drive, blocking third-party access.
- Administrative measures: The number of personnel involved in personal information processing tasks is kept to a minimum.
Article 7 (Entrustment and Third-Party Provision of Personal Information Processing)
Because the Provider does not operate any separate server of its own, there is no personal information that the Provider directly stores or processes. The Provider uses the services of Google LLC for each of the following purposes, and information processed by each service is subject to Google's privacy policy.
| Purpose | Service used | Information processed |
| Member sign-in | Google Sign-In | Email, account identifier |
| Record backup/restore | Google Drive API (appDataFolder) | The entirety of the local records created by the user |
| Serving ads | Google AdMob | Advertising identifier, device information, diagnostic data |

Article 8 (Matters Concerning the Advertising Service)
The Service serves banner ads through Google AdMob. Information such as the advertising identifier may be collected for ad personalization, and users may turn off ad personalization or reset the advertising identifier in device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). Where the Service is provided in regions that require a separate consent process, such as the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, an additional consent process is presented through Google's consent management platform (UMP).
Article 9 (Personal Information Protection Officer)
- Trade name (service provider): TerryWi
- Personal Information Protection Officer: TerryWi (Representative)
- Customer support / inquiry email: wwwtaekyu@gmail.com
Users may direct any inquiries, complaints, or requests for remedy related to personal information protection that arise while using the HaruChaeng service to the Personal Information Protection Officer.
Article 10 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
This Privacy Policy applies from September 2, 2026. If there are additions, deletions, or modifications to its content, the Provider will give notice through in-app announcements or this document from 7 days before the effective date of the change.
