SAYM Terms of Service
Effective 3 September 2026
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations and responsibilities of TerryWi (the “Provider”) and users in connection with the use of the SAYM service (the “Service”), and any other necessary matters.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service” means the envelope (category) budgeting, automatic recording of payment messages and notifications, spending/income reports, Google Drive backup/restore, and all related features made available to users through the mobile application “SAYM” provided by the Provider.
- “User” means anyone who installs and uses the Service. The Service can be used in full immediately upon installation without any sign-up; linking a Google account applies only to users who wish to use the backup/restore feature.
- “Auto-input” means the feature by which, only where the user has granted permission, the Service analyzes the content of payment messages (SMS/RCS) and app notifications on the device and records them automatically as transactions.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)
- The Provider posts these Terms on the in-app settings screen or a separate web page so that users can easily review them.
- The Provider may amend these Terms within the limits permitted by applicable law.
- Where the Terms are amended, notice will be given through in-app announcements or this document from 7 days before the effective date. For changes unfavorable to users, notice will be given by a clear method from 30 days before.
Article 4 (Formation of the Use Agreement)
- The use agreement is formed without any separate procedure when the user installs and runs the Service.
- The Google Drive backup/restore feature becomes additionally available at the point the user completes Google sign-in within the Service.
- The auto-input feature operates only where the user has granted message and notification access in system settings.
Article 5 (Provision and Change of the Service)
- The Provider offers the user the following features:
- Envelope (category) budget allocation and tracking of remaining/spent amounts
- Recording of spending/income via automatic recognition of payment messages and notifications
- Manual transaction entry and editing, and management of categories and payment methods
- Reports on spending proportion and by period
- Backup and restore of records via Google Drive
- Remote update of auto-input recognition rules and improvement requests
- Banner advertising via Google AdMob
- The Provider may add, change or discontinue features to improve the Service, and will give prior notice of material changes.
- The Provider may temporarily suspend the Service where there are substantial operational reasons such as maintenance, replacement or failure of information/communication facilities, or communication outages.
Article 6 (Fees)
- All features of the Service are currently provided free of charge.
- The Service secures operating funds through banner advertising via Google AdMob.
- If paid features are added in the future, the fees and payment methods will be announced within the Service in advance.
Article 7 (Protection of Personal Information)
The Provider complies with applicable law and a separate Privacy Policy to protect users’ personal information. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details such as the scope of use of message/notification access and the on-device processing principle.
Article 8 (User Obligations)
When using the Service, the user must not:
- Use another person’s Google account information without authorization;
- Copy, disassemble, decompile, modify or distribute the Service’s program, design, trademarks, etc. without the Provider’s prior approval;
- Interfere with the operation of the Service, such as by spreading viruses or malware;
- Otherwise violate applicable law or these Terms.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
- The auto-input feature is a tool that assists recording by recognizing the differing message/notification formats of each card issuer, bank and app; records may be missed, or amounts/merchants misrecognized, due to format changes or exceptional notation. The user must verify and correct auto-recorded entries, and the Provider does not warrant the accuracy of auto-input results. All records and reports in the Service are for the user’s own spending-management reference only and must not be used as a basis for financial, accounting or tax decisions.
- Record data is stored on the user’s device only, as a rule. If the user changes, resets or removes the app on the device without having run a Google Drive backup, records may not be recoverable, and the Provider is not responsible for this.
- The Provider is not responsible where the Service cannot be provided due to force majeure such as natural disaster, war or interruption of communication services.
- The Provider is not responsible in connection with the use of the free Service unless otherwise specifically provided by applicable law.
Article 10 (Termination and Account Deletion)
- The user may at any time request to unlink the Google account through the in-app “Delete account” feature, and the Provider processes it immediately.
- Upon account deletion, the Google sign-in link and the backup data stored in Google Drive are deleted immediately. Local records remaining on the device are deleted only by separately running “Reset records” or removing the app.
- Regardless of account deletion, the user may stop using the Service at any time by removing the app.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- All disputes arising in connection with these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Lawsuits regarding disputes arising from use of the Service are filed with the competent court as provided by applicable law.
