Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of TerryWi (the “Provider”) and users, and other necessary matters, in relation to the use of the Todit service (the “Service”) provided by the Provider.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service” means all features available to users through the mobile application “Todit” provided by the Provider, including recording and managing tasks, subtasks, dates and repetition, reminders, calendar views, completion history, statistics and search, and Google Drive backup and restore.
- “User” means anyone who installs and uses the Service. The Service can be used in full immediately after installation without any sign-up process; linking a Google account applies only to users who wish to use the backup and restore feature.
- “Reminder” means a task reminder or morning summary shown on the device at a time set by the user.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of These Terms)
- The Provider posts these Terms in the Service settings screen or on a separate web page so that users can easily review them.
- The Provider may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable law.
- Where these Terms are amended, notice will be given from 7 days before the effective date through in-service notices or this document. For changes unfavourable to users, notice will be given by clear means from 30 days in advance.
Article 4 (Formation of the Use Agreement)
- The use agreement is formed without any separate procedure when the user installs and runs the Service.
- Backup and restore via a linked Google account becomes additionally available at the point the user completes Google sign-in within the Service.
- Reminders operate only where the user has granted notification permission in system settings.
Article 5 (Provision and Modification of the Service)
- The Provider offers users the following features.
- Recording, editing and completing tasks and subtasks (including voice input)
- Managing planned dates (Today, Later, Someday) and repetition
- Task reminders and the morning summary
- Calendar views (day, week, month)
- Completion history, statistics by period, and search
- Home screen widgets
- Screen skins and a choice of 12 languages, including English and Korean
- JSON file export and import
- Backup and restore of records via Google Drive
- Banner advertising via Google AdMob
- The Provider may add, change or discontinue features to improve the quality of the Service, and will give prior notice of material changes.
- The Provider may temporarily suspend the Service where there is a substantial operational reason, such as maintenance, replacement or failure of information and communication facilities, or interruption of communications.
Article 6 (Fees)
- All features of the Service are currently provided free of charge.
- The Service secures operating funds through banner advertising via Google AdMob.
- If paid features are added in future, the fees and payment methods will be explained in the Service in advance.
Article 7 (Protection of Personal Information)
The Provider complies with applicable law and its separate Privacy Policy in order to protect users’ personal information. For details such as the items collected, the on-device storage principle and the scope of app permissions, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
Article 8 (Users’ Obligations)
When using the Service, users must not engage in any of the following.
- Using another person’s Google account information without authorization
- Reproducing, disassembling, decompiling, modifying or distributing the Service’s program, design or trademarks without the Provider’s prior approval
- Interfering with the operation of the Service, such as by distributing viruses or malicious code
- Otherwise violating applicable law or these Terms
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
- Reminders rely on the scheduling features provided by the device’s operating system. Reminders may be delayed or not delivered for reasons beyond the Provider’s control, such as the device’s power-saving or battery optimization policies, the device being powered off, or changes to the time or time zone. The Provider does not guarantee on-time delivery of reminders, and recommends managing critical commitments by additional means.
- As a rule, the Service’s record data is stored only on the user’s device. The Service never backs up automatically; backups run only when the user taps “Back up now”. Up to the 3 most recent backups are kept in Google Drive, and records made after the last backup are not included in them. App data may be included in the Android device backup (Google account), but the operating system decides when that backup and restore happen, so the Provider does not guarantee restoration through it. If the user loses, changes or resets the device, or uninstalls the app, without having run a Google Drive backup or JSON export, records may not be recoverable, and the Provider bears no responsibility for this.
- The Provider bears no responsibility where the Service cannot be provided due to force majeure such as natural disaster, war or interruption of communication services.
- Unless otherwise specifically provided by applicable law, the Provider bears no responsibility in relation to the use of the Service provided free of charge.
Article 10 (Termination and Unlinking)
- Users may unlink their Google account at any time by using “Sign out” under Settings > My info in the Service, and the Provider processes this immediately. Signing out leaves the backup in Google Drive in place.
- Using “Disconnect account & delete backups” under Settings > My info > Connected account disconnects the Google sign-in, deletes all backup data stored in Google Drive immediately, and revokes the Drive permission granted to the app. Local records remaining on the device are deleted with Settings > My info > “Reset data” or by uninstalling the app.
- Regardless of signing out, users may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- All disputes arising in relation to these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Any lawsuit concerning a dispute arising from use of the Service shall be brought before the competent court determined by applicable law.
- The Korean text of these Terms is the original. Translations into English and 10 other languages are provided for convenience; if a translation differs from the original, the Korean original prevails.
